Meet Kimberly Osam, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech Therapist in Virginia

Kimberly Osam, M.S., CCC-SLP, is the founder and President of I am Speech Therapy: Speech, Language, Cognition, Swallowing and Voice PLLC, proudly serving families and individuals throughout Virginia. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from New York University’s Communication Sciences and Disorders program and holds the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence.

With extensive experience in schools, outpatient facilities, hospitals, home health, and private practice, Kimberly’s career spans early intervention through geriatrics. She specializes in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and voice, with additional expertise in multi-modal communication across the lifespan, articulation, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders. She is also certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) protocol.

Her professional perspective is enriched by her medical background as an EMT-B and her role as a Virginia-based disability advocate and parent of an autistic son. She serves on state-level committees supporting individuals with disabilities and is committed to advocacy at every level.

Kimberly’s practice offers hybrid speech therapy services—primarily in-person in community settings, with plans to grow into a full clinic. Every session is affirming, thorough, and tailored to individual goals, reflecting her belief that communication access is essential for every stage of life.
